Polling Place Oversight -- Rules vary by state
- Consider being a poll worker. You will receive training and be able to make sure at least one polling place is run properly.
- Can survey a number of polling places on election day.
- Use election office website to locate polling places nearby for review.
- Check no voter guides being handed out.
- No voter intimidation, etc.
- No long lines.
- In a church? Make sure no proselytizing, polls not in sanctuary, on altar, etc.
- At your precinct: Observe closing actions after polls close.
- You must be in the polling place before it closes.
- Make sure all forms are filled out and ballot counts balance.
