Polling Place Oversight -- Rules vary by state
  • Consider being a poll worker. You will receive training and be able to make sure at least one polling place is run properly.
  • Can survey a number of polling places on election day.
    • Use election office website to locate polling places nearby for review.
    • Check no voter guides being handed out.
    • No voter intimidation, etc.
    • No long lines.
    • In a church? Make sure no proselytizing, polls not in sanctuary, on altar, etc.
  • At your precinct: Observe closing actions after polls close.
    • You must be in the polling place before it closes.
    • Make sure all forms are filled out and ballot counts balance.
