The Potrero Community Planning Group meeting of 03-13-2008 reconsidered the Blackwater West project as a ceremonial gesture after the withdrawal of the project by Blackwater on Friday, 03-07-2008, less than a week earlier. The planning group has filled the three outstanding vacancies with members who have stated their opposition to the project. The resolution to deny the request by Blackwater Worldwide for the project was approved unanimously, 9-0. During the discussion, Blackwater proponents attempted to keep the planning group from making the devastating vote, but were unsuccessful in blocking the action.
