Sunday, Aug 12th, 2pm to 4:30pm: Citizens' Oversight Projects (COPS) and the East County Democratic Club host "Paramilitary Training Camps Forum", with guests Brandon Webb of Wind Zero (proposed for Ocotillo/Nomirage), Brian Bonfiglio of Blackwater West (proposed for Potrero), and Marc Halcon of Covert Canyon (recently operating in Alpine) speaking and answering questions. Should we endorse any of these projects? Admission is free and open to the public. Sunday, Aug 26th, 1:45pm (refreshments at 1pm). The documentary film "War Made Easy" will be shown by Current Events Theater at the Rancho San Diego Library. This film, narrated by Sean Penn, documents patterns of political and media deception for war over the past five decades, from Vietnam to Iraq.
