The Open Canvass Method eliminates most hacking opportunites in our election system, does not need certification, does not care about proprietary or closed-source software, and does not rely upon hand-counting.

The method essentially > Uses Durable Paper Ballots
> Scans all ballots using high-speed digital scanners.
> Store the ballot images on optical media, such as Data-DVDs
> Multiple teams extract the vote from the digital images, creating a standard table of all the ballots, and the vote found on that ballot.
> The tables are compared and all discrepancies settled.
> The final canvass results.
