Potrero party's goal is reconciliation

POTRERO: Everyone is welcome at a Celebrate Potrero Party from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at 23975 Yerba Santa Road.

The purpose of the gathering is healing and reconciliation after Blackwater Worldwide decided not to pursue a contentious training facility in the community. Bring food to share, drinks, chairs and hats. The keynote speaker will be Rep. Bob Filner, D-San Diego. People are invited to begin gathering at noon and stay after the party for more speakers, poetry and music until 6 p.m.
