WASHINGTON (AP) - Private security firm Blackwater USA paid $290,000 to C&M Capitolink last year to lobby the federal government.

The company paid C&M $150,000 in the second half of 2007 to lobby members of Congress on issues of oversight by and communications with the federal government, according to a disclosure form posted online Feb. 14 by the Senate's public records office.

Blackwater paid C&M $140,000 in the first six months of 2007 to lobby on the same issues.
